Sketchbooks

I like to draw from life whenever I can, even if it is just on the Tube, where I draw anyone who looks like they aren't going to notice! I try to get a likeness in the shortest possible time- there's no time for corrections. I find this good drawing practice. Sometimes I only get an eye or a nose! If someone looks up, I tend to start writing something, like the date,-as if I'd been writing all along!
Most of my drawings of people from life are done on the Tube,when I travel to and from my studio. I always carry a sketchbook with me, even if it's only 4x4 inches, as my current one is!
